Vision and Mission

The NACD Florida Chapter was founded in 2005 by a group of local directors to create a peer-to-peer forum for senior executives and board members to share their experiences, discuss board leadership issues and serve as the Voice of the Director.

Many boardroom challenges are best addressed by sharing insights with peers, and the NACD director community is where board members turn.  Led by fellow board members who volunteer their time and leadership, we provide members with a forum for sharing experiential knowledge, staying ahead of the curve, and fostering good governance in the local and global business community.

Our mission is to enhance director effectiveness by providing these forums in which educational content converges with peer interaction.  The Florida Chapter meets monthly from October through June for these director education programs and board networking events in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa Bay as well as some satellite areas.  As a public, private or not-for-profit director, these monthly events are your opportunity to connect with board governance experts and fellow directors, as they provide consistent, timely information about economic, legal, regulatory and governance issues that impact board member responsibilities.  All our programs convey  NACD credits to be applied toward Fellowships.  See our Calendar of Events for a program close to you!
