Join us to discuss these topics with subject matter experts and Neil Flanzraich, a seasoned director and accomplished and experienced board member. Among his various board positions, Flanzraich serves as the lead independent director of Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. and executive chairman of the boards of Cantex Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Alzheon Inc. He was formerly vice chairman and president of IVAX Corp., an international pharmaceutical company, until its sale to Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries for an enterprise value of $10 billion. He is joined by Jesus Socorro, managing principal of MBAF's Risk & Transaction Advisory practice and Audit Committee chair of Veru Inc., as well as Uri Dallal, East Region Leader, Financial Services Group, Managing Director at Aon.
Mr. Flanzraich is the Executive Chairman of Cantex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. a biotech company developing novel therapies for cancer. He is also the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alzheon, Inc., a biotech company developing drugs for Alzheimer’s. He is the Lead Independent Director of Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (CMG:NYSE), a restaurant chain, and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Atrium European Real Estate Limited (VSE/Euronext:ATRS), an owner/manager of shopping centers in Central and Eastern Europe. He also serves as an Expert-In-Residence for an entrepreneurship program at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
Jesus Socorro is the Managing Principal of MBAF’s Risk & Transaction Advisory practice. He and his team serve clients in a variety of advisory capacities around the world, including: SOX 404 compliance; preparation for IPOs or other liquidity events; technical accounting consultations (including new revenue and lease standard implementation); IT Risk; and M&A transaction advisory and due diligence, including issuing reports regarding the quality of earnings.
With a broad, global, audit and advisory background, Jesus has extensive cross-functional leadership experience managing small and large teams on the audits, advisory projects and capital markets transactions of publicly-traded and privately-held companies in various industries ranging from start-ups through Fortune 500. He has substantial SEC experience, including domestic and international public offerings, M&A and US GAAP and IFRS audits of financial statements and internal controls under PCAOB auditing standards. He also has experience working with PE-backed companies through governance matters, financial reporting, carve-out financial statements, internal control development and enhancement, business process improvement and transaction structuring in contemplation of liquidity events.

Uri has over 15 years of experience as a broker and underwriter of financial lines business. Uri has been with Aon for ten years in New York where he started as a Vice President in 2009 and has been a manager in FSG since 2012. Uri is a member of Aon FSG’s Executive Council, and has significant expertise in multi-national placement, mergers and acquisitions, and bespoke contract negotiations.
Prior to joining Aon, Uri was a broker within the NASDAQ Stock Exchange subsidiary brokerage group, and served as a senior underwriter with Travelers Insurance, following previous efforts at Gulf Insurance and ACE Ltd as a commercial D&O underwriter.
